Suprematism (1915–1925)

Kazimir Malevich's declaration that painting could exist entirely without objects. Pure geometric shapes — squares, rectangles, circles, crosses — float against white in compositions that suggest movement, gravity, and spatial tension without depicting anything. The palette is almost entirely black, red, and white. There is no metaphor; only sensation.

Fête poster

This time it chose to frame the fête with overlapping red quadrilaterals, a blue-grey rectangle, a long black bar, a black circle and a small cross. Run it again and the shapes would fall differently, in a different balance.

Gig poster

This time it landed on a tilted black title around an asymmetric cluster of red and black circles, blocks and bars, crossed by a long red diagonal. Run it again and the shapes would fall differently, in a different balance.
